Washington, D.C. – October 2018: Fonkoze Financial Services (Sèvis Finansye Fonkoze (SFF)) was among 68 plus organizations from around the world who were considered for a Finance for the Future award this year. Out of the group, five organizations were selected as finalists within a category relevant to their respective field of work. SFF was selected as a finalist in the Investing in Finance category – and won.
SFF’s CEO Dominique Boyer and CFO Brigitte Rousseau accepted the prestigious award during the ceremony, which was held on October 16, 2018, at the Banking Hall in London. “There are few moments in a career you will truly remember. I will always remember presenting this award to these amazing ladies this evening – it is completely game changing,” said Mardi McBrien, Managing Director of Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB).
The Finance for the Future awards were founded by ICAEW and A4S (Accounting For Sustainability), in partnership with Deloitte. Now in its seventh year, the awards are given annually to organizations that have effectively kept “sustainability at the heart of their operations,” says Richard Spencer, Head of Sustainability at ICAEW. “This shows their dedication to tackling the serious environmental and social issues we face, and shows innovation in finance and accountancy when facing these challenges.”
